FORMER PROVOST AOCOED AUGUST 2011 TO AUGUST 2015

Mr. Bashorun joined the service of the College on 5th January, 1998 as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural/Education, School of Vocational and Technical Education. He rose through the rank and was promoted to the position of a Chief Lecturer on 1st October, 2004, a position he held before this appointment. In 2006, he was elected the Dean of the School of Vocational and Technical Education. Mr. Bashorun was once the HOD of Agricultural Education Department between (1999 – 2004), Acting Dean, School of Vocational and Technical Education (2002 – 2003. Mr. Bashorun is a graduate of Virginia State University, Petersburg, Virginia, USA. (Bachelor of Science, Agricultural Business & Economics) in 1984. He obtained his Masters Degree also from the same University in 1985 in the area of Agricultural Education.
Born on 4th June, 1959 at Isale Eko, Lagos State. The new Chief Executive Officer of the College has several publications to his credit and he is a member of many professional bodies among which are; Nigerian Association of Teachers of Technology (NATT); Science Teachers’ Association of Nigeria (STAN), etc.

AOCOED DEPUTY PROVOST APPOINTED

The Governing Council of the College, at its 1st Emergency meeting of Thursday, April 17, 2014, approved the appointment of Mr. Ajose, Ebenezer Oluwole, a Chief Lecturer in the School of Arts and Social Sciences, SASS, as the substantive Deputy Provost of the College with effect from Thursday, April 17, 2014, for a period of two (2) years.
Born on April 1, 1955, Mr. Ajose joined the service of the College on September 1, 1990 as a lecturer in the Social Studies department.
He is a bachelor’s degree holder in History Education, 1984 and has a Master’s degree in Curriculum (Social Studies), 1995, both from the University of Lagos. In addition, Mr. Ajose is a certified member of the Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN, Social Studies Association of Nigeria, SOSAN, among a host of other professional bodies with quite a number of publications of both books and articles to his credit.
Before his appointment, he had served in several capacities in the College amongst which are; Head of Social Studies’ department, Sole Administrator of AOCOED Staff School, Acting Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences, Acting Director, Directorate of Teaching Practice and Director, Centre for Outreach programmes, COP.
He is happily married with children.

NEW REGISTRAR FOR THE COLLEGE

The Governing Council of the College at its 2nd Regular Meeting on Wednesday, 25th June, 2014 considered the recommendation of the Appointments and Promotions Committee/Interview Panel and approved the appointment of Mr. Charles Olumuyiwa COKER as the Substantive Registrar of the College with effect from 20th July, 2014.

Born on 9th December, 1961, Mr. Coker joined the service of the College on 1st August, 1990 as an Administrative Officer II. He rose through the ranks and was promoted Deputy Registrar in the year 2005.

He is a graduate of Bayero University, Kano (1988), Associate of Institute of Chartered Secretaries, UK, (ACIS), an alumnus of Daystar Leadership Academy and a Master’s Degree holder in Public Administration. He is a member of several professional bodies among which are Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, Institute of Management Consultant, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, etc.

He is happily married with children.
